August beauty favourites 2017

I decided as it’s coming towards the end of August, I’ll do a favourites post of all the beauty products I have loved throughout the month of August. By the way, click on the images if you want to find out more about the products or purchase them!
Alright, I have quite a few things that I’ve been loving (which is not a bad thing), so let’s get right into it!

Liz Earle cleanse and polish:

£16.00

This does exactly as it says. It cleanses and polishes! Literally. My mum had actually used this for years but it was only recently when my skin had started to break out that she recommended that I use it. I was a bit sceptical, having extremely sensitive skin and eczema I didn’t know what to expect. However, I decided to take a leap of faith and dive right in and I LOVED it, my skin felt completely smooth. As cliché as it sounds, my skin felt like a baby’s bottom.
I have to say, my skin didn’t clear up right away, but I did see an improvement in less redness around my nose and cheeks. It’s gentle but powerful; it doesn’t dry out your skin but hydrates it. I highly recommend using it with the muslin cloth that comes with it as that can heighten the cleansing abilities by removing dirt from your skin as well as removing dry, flaky skin. If you have sensitive skin, I really do recommend you trying, however if you have medical skin conditions, I would think about consulting your doctor first before trying!
This one here is a limited edition version: Jasmine and Osmanthus, the only difference is the scent otherwise it’s completely the same!

Olay sensitive beauty fluid:

£4.79

If there was one product that I would stand by it would be this. Seriously, this is my beauty staple and cannot live without it! I have been using this since I was around five years old, suffering from eczema since I was a kid this had been my saviour and I still continue to use it to this very day. Even though it does not say moisturiser in the name, that doesn’t go to say it doesn’t work like one because it does.
It’s light, nourishing and hydrating. It doesn’t feel too heavy on your skin and if you ever you need a break from rich creams then this is your go to. It also soothes red, irritated skin. All in all, it works wonders. If there was one thing I would say to try, it would be this!
If you do not have sensitive skin, don’t worry there is also a normal version for normal skin as well.

Kiehl’s avocado eye cream:

£34.00

I have to admit I never used eye creams until a couple of months ago. Recently, I have been in front of a computer screen more and developed dark under eye circles. (But it’s whatever, right? Embrace your flaws!) Anyway, I started to look into eye creams and came across this one as it had been highly praised by magazines and beauty bloggers. Plus, it has avocado! (What’s not to love?)
I brought the thing, tried the thing and loved the thing. It’s thick, so a little goes a long away. But don’t be put off by the thick texture, it makes it super, super hydrating to your under eyes and makes those circles brighten up (byebye dark under eyes).

Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Stoned Rose:

£24.00

I am not a huge makeup fan, I don’t wear it every day and if I was to wear it, it would be eye shadow, mascara and lipstick (Not all together, unless on special occasions). I prefer natural looking makeup, nothing too showy or bold (That’s my preference, if you like showy and bold, you do showy and bold!). I’ve been searching for the perfect lipstick for years and I have finally found it! The Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Stoned Rose is the one.
It’s a warm coral rose colour, perfect for everyday wear. It doesn’t seem like you’re wearing a lot, it’s a perfect all round natural colour. The texture is amazing; it’s smooth and extremely moisturising. There is a special blend of waxes that which makes it seamless and smooth, perfect for application. It also has tree extracts in the formula for lip nourishment (It’s like a treat for your lips!)
If there was one lipstick that I would wear for the rest of my life, it would be this one.

Dolce Rosa Excelsa by Dolce and Gabbana:

£49.00 +

I am a huge fragrance girl; I have quiet the selection and love to add to it (even if my bank account doesn’t agree). I’m always on the lookout for new fragrances but also looking back at the classics. My all-time favourite is Marc Jacobs Dot but that is a story for another post (Interested? Leave me a comment!). However, I have come across the ‘Dolce Rosa Excelsa’ by Dolce and Gabbana. The only other fragrance that I have tried of theirs is Light Blue and I loved it. But this one is a whole new other world.
The scent is delicate and seductive. There is intensity of Turkish rose with top notes of Papaya flower and Neroli leaves. It’s the perfect floral scent and I have fallen in love, you only really need to spritz once and the scent lingers for days. I think that perfume smells the best once it has faded a little, it’s subtle but there.
This is a floral version of their original fragrance ‘Dolce’, so if you don’t like floral, rose scents then I highly recommend trying out the original.

There we have it! These are some of the things that I have loved throughout the month of August, this is my first favourites post, and so if you enjoyed please leave a comment below if you want to see more! Also, I’d like to know what you have loved throughout the month of August.
See you in the next post!
